After the groundbreaking success of the historical drama series “The Gilded Age”, Julian Fellowes has once again collaborated with HBO for the highly anticipated season 2.
Directed by Salli Richardson Whitfield and Michael Engler and written by Julian Fellowes, the Primetime Emmy Award-winning series is to release its second season on October 29, 2023, exclusively on HBO.
“The Gilded Age” is a historical drama series set during the Gilded Age (1877–1901). The main plot of the series revolves around the Russell family (new money) and the Rhijn-Brook family (old money), who are neighbors on 61st Street near Fifth Avenue, Manhattan.
It also explores rivalries between the two families, societal tension, and the conflicts faced by the domestic workers, the black upper class, and the upper and middle classes.
As per official synopses and media reports, Gilded Age Season 2 follows the story of Bertha, who challenges Mrs. Astor and the existing old system to make her mark in high school. This season will further explore societal tension and rivalries between new and old money families.

The upcoming period drama show “The Gilded Age Season 2” is set to be released on October 29, 2023.
Currently, the studio has not yet released an official trailer for The Gilded Age season. However, it released a teaser on August 13, providing a brief glimpse of emerging societal tension without revealing much about the story. According to media reports, numerous original cast members, including Carrie Coon as Bertha Russell, Christine Baranski as Agnes Van Rhijn, Louisa Jacobson as Marian Brook, Taissa Farmiga as Gladys Russell, Cynthia Nixon as Ada Brook, Taissa Farmiga as Gladys Russell, Harry Richardson as Larry Russell, Louisa Jacobson as Marian Brook, Blake Ritson as Oscar Van Rhijn, and Simon Jones as Bannister, are returning to their respective roles, among others.
If rumors are to be believed, there will be multiple new faces in season 2, but the studio has not yet disclosed much about them.
