The award-winning sci-fi comedy-drama series “Upload” is returning to Prime Video with its third installment. Created by Greg Daniels, the show was first released in 2020 and followed up with a commercially successful season 2 in 2022.
The much-awaited season 3 is set to make its worldwide debut on October 20, 2023, exclusively on Prime Videos.
“Upload” is a comedy-drama sci-fi series that is set in a 2033 utopian future where humans can upload themselves into a virtual afterlife of their choosing.
The main plot of the series revolves around Nathan Brown, a computer programmer who dies in an accident and is uploaded to an afterlife program.
Soon, Nathan realizes that he is under the control of his still-living, possessive girlfriend, Ingrid Kannerman. As the series progresses, it becomes clear that Nathan’s death is not a mere accident.
Story and Plot of Upload Season 3
If media reports are to be believed, Upload Season 3 kickstart from where Season 2 left us. We saw at the end of season 2 that Nathan successfully used his DNA to get into his clone body, and he is now together with Nora, his afterlife customer service representative.
In season three, Natha and Nora will continue their investigation of Freeyond, which is using Upload for some nefarious objectives. This season will also answer some of the questions that have been pending since season 1, including Nathan’s untimely death.
Speaking to the media about his role in Upload Season 3, Robbie Amell said, “This season is really funny and super weird and way, way out there. There are two of us, which was a trip to shoot. I’m shooting opposite somebody who just looks like me from behind, and then I’m shooting opposite nothing. And then I’m shooting at a green thing. It was crazy.”

According to several reports, several original cast members, including Robbie Amell as Nathan Brown, Andy Allo as Nora Antony, Allegra Edwards as Ingrid Kannerman, Zainab Johnson as Aleesha, Josh Bandy as Ivan, William B. Davis as David Choak, and Andy Thompson as Lionel Winters, are returning for “Upload Season 3.”
