The streaming giant Netflix is coming up with the much-awaited “Surviving Summer Season 2.” Yes, you read it right; the show is set to make its worldwide debut on September 15, 2023.
The commercially successful show was created by Joanna Werner and Josh Mapleston in collaboration with Werner Film Productions and Netflix. Moreover, Kirsty Fisher, Keir Wilkins, and Gemma Crofts have served as the show’s story writers.
“Surviving Summer” is a coming-of-age family drama set in the tiny town of Shorehaven on the Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia.
The primary story of the show revolves around Summer Torres, a rebellious Brooklyn teenager who was expelled from her high school and sent to Australia to live with a family friend. Staying at Shorehaven, she falls in love with surfing and befriends a group of local surfers.
According to media reports, Surviving Summer Season 2 will see a time jump of a year from the events of Season 1. Summer returns to Shorehaven with a determination to become a career surfer, just like her Australian friends, and announces that she wants to make the state team and compete at Nationals.
