Úrsula Corberó, renowned for her role as Tokyo in the Spanish show “Money Heist,” is here with another thrilling biographical crime-drama show, “Burning Body” (El cuerpo en llamas).
The show is said to be a fictionalized version of the 2017 real crime of the Guardia Urbana. Jorge Torregrossa is directing the show, whereas Carlos López, Laura Sarmiento Pallarés, and Eduard Sola are writing its story.
The show draws its inspiration from the 2017 real crime of the Guardia Urbana, where a police officer was burned in his car in the Foix reservoir, near Barcelona.
It follows a fictionalized version of the real crime and explores the story of Rosa and Albert, who were the prime suspects in killing their fellow police officer Pedro.
As per the reports, the series will also delve into the prevailing themes of toxic relationships, violence, cheating, and sex scandals. The makers have promised the show to be a blood-pounding thriller with several unexpected twists and turns.
Burning Body is scheduled to be released worldwide on September 8, 2023, exclusively on Netflix.
