Shreyas Iyer is an Indian cricketer who was born on 6 December 1994 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. His full name is Shreyas Santosh Iyer, he has completed his school education from Don Bosco High School, Matunga and his graduation from Ramniranjan Anandilal Poddar College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai.
Shreyas Iyer’s father Santosh Iyer was a Businessman and mother Rohini Iyer was a homemaker, he has one sister. He made his first-class debut for Mumbai Indians in 2014-2015 in Vijay Hazare Trophy, he surprised everyone by scoring 273 runs at an average of 54.60. Personal life
Shreyas Iyer was born on 6 December 1994 in Mumbai, his father Santosh Iyer was a businessman, who has his roots in Kerala and his mother Rohini Iyer is a Mangalorean Tuluva at an age of twelve years. He has completed his school studies from Don Bosco High School, Matunga, and graduation from Ramniranjan Anandilal Poddar College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai.
His father wanted his son to become an Indian cricketer and at the age of 12, Iyer started playing cricket and was being trained by coaches like- Pravin Amir, Sanjay Bharadwaj.
At first, he played for Mumbai Indians in domestic cricket and played for Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In the year 2014, he started playing for ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, he is a right-handed fast bowler. He has made his first debut for ODI on 10 December 2017 against Sri Lanka, his ODIs shirt no. is 41.

International Career
Iyer was born in a middle-class family, his father Santosh Iyer was a small businessman and only the earner in his family. He was interested in cricket and wants his son to be a cricketer, due to this at the age of 12 he was by trained cricket by Pravin Amre who was not only Iyer’s coach but also like his elder brother and he guided him so well in cricket.
At first, he started playing for Delhi Capitals in domestic cricket and later on was named for many Indian teams. In 2014 he was named in Trent Bridge Cricket The team during UK trip, in 2015 Iyer scored 1,321 runs in the Ranji Trophy match.
Ranji Trophy match which was being held in 2014-15 he made his first-class debut and scored 809 runs and was the 7th highest scorer. IPL which was being held in 2018, was the captain of Delhi Daredevils by replacing Gautam Gambhir.

Shreyas Iyer started his career playing for Delhi Capitals in domestic cricket and later on made his capability for other several matches. He is a top-order batsman and was named in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
Iyer was being signed in by the Delhi Daredevils to play in the IPL session of 2015, in the IPL 2015 session he was the 9th most consistent player of IPL series. Again in 2018, he was retained by Delhi Daredevils and was also chosen captain of the team by replacing Gautam Gambhir. He was one of the fastest batsmen in the Indian Cricket Team.
