Netflix’s critically acclaimed teen comedy-romantic show has come to an end with its fourth and final season. Yes, you read it right. Sex Education Season 4 is going to premiere worldwide on September 21, exclusively on Netflix.
The show was created by Laurie Nunn in collaboration with several talent directors: Ben Taylor, Kate Herron, Runyararo Mapfumo, Sophie Goodhart, and Alice Seabright.
Sex Education is a coming-of-age British teen comedy-drama series. The primary story of the show revolved around a group of students—Otis Milburn, Eric Effiong, Maeve Wiley, Adam Groff, and Jackson Marchetti, among others—studying at Moordale Secondary School who set up an underground sex therapy clinic at their school.
According to the official synopsis, Season 4 will explore the story of Otis and his close friends at their new school, Cavendish Sixth Form College. It will also delve into Maeve’s story, who went to the United States for further studies on a scholarship.
While speaking to Radio Times, the lead actor Asa Butterfield (Otis Milburn) said, “It’s still got the core team involved, and it’s been fun. We’re at the new school in new locations, and things have changed up a bit. And we’ve got some new characters. It’s still got the core team involved, and it’s been fun. I mean, we all know each other so well at this point, so it’s a great time and it’s a laugh.”

Netflix released an official teaser on July 5, 2023, which went viral in no time and has accumulated millions of views. The trailer shows brief glimpses of Otis and Maeve’s new lives in their respective high schools. It has also sparked massive excitement among the show’s fans, who were eagerly awaiting its release.
Sex Education Season 4 features several original cast members in their respective roles, including Asa Butterfield as Otis Milburn, Gillian Anderson as Jean Milburn, Ncuti Gatwa as Eric Effiong, Emma Mackey as Maeve Wiley, Connor Swindells as Adam Groff, Kedar Williams-Stirling as Jackson Marchetti, Aimee Lou Wood as Aimee Gibbs, and Alistair Petrie as Michael Groff, among others.
