Lasith Malinga Wiki Biography: Lasith Malinga is a Sri Lankan professional cricket player and Captain of T20 International cricket of Sri Lanka. He was born on August 28, 1983, in Galle, Sri Lanka. Lasith Malinga is mainly known for his sling bowling ability and sometimes called as a Slinga Malinga.
Over the past year, he is considered as one of the greatest limited-overs bowlers of all time. He has got a lot of popularity for his ability to take Hat-trick in all three formats of the game. In addition to this, Malinga is the first player to take two world cup Hat-trick and three Hat-tricks in the ODIs. Malinga makes his debut from Mumbai Indians in the IPL Since 2013.

Career
Lasith Malinga was born and raised in the Sri Lanka modest valley Galle. During that time he used to lay with his friends near the sandbank and completed his schooling living there. His father was a retired bus mechanic and his mother was housewives. After getting a scholarship for high school he went to town and began his studying there in Galle. During that time he used to play in the school with his friends and at that time he was caught by one of the coaches of the Galle cricket club who was impressed with his bowling.
He invited Malinga to join the cricket club and was the turning point for Lasith Malinga. Malinga made his very first appearances in the test debut on July 1, 2004, against Australia where he took 6 wickets which helps Sri Lanka to win the match. In the same year, he was named in 2004 ODIs where he finished the game against UAE taking wickets of emirates captain Khurram Khan.
IPL Career
In 2008 he was bought by Mumbai Indians at INR 2.50 Crore where he played for 10 years and e was again bought by 2019 season from Mumbai Indians. In these 10 years, Malinga was one of the main contributors in a match from the side from Mumbai Indians and he has also set a lot of records in the IPL too.
