Christina Rene Hendricks commonly known as Christina Hendricks is an American actress and model. She was born on May 3, 1975 in Knoxville, Tennessee, United States.
Hendricks was working as a receptionist and shampoo girl at a salon before she participated in a competition to appear on the cover of Seventeen magazine which results in her signing with IMG model which resulted her to move to New York City at age of 18.
In early 1990s, Hendricks began her career as a model and then she started acting in commercials. She got her first role in MTV series Undressed in the year 1999. After her first series she got the chance to work in the series Beggars and Choosers from 1999 to 2001. After a long struggle she got her first drama movie La Cucina in 2007 which was launched in December 2009. She won over 13 awards and nominated for 30 awards. Her wins include BVTA Special/ DVD Voice Acting Award 2012, two Critics Choice Television Award of 2011 and 2012, Golden Nymph Award 2009 for Outstanding Actress in series Mad Men of 2007 and OFTA Television Award 2014 and 2015 for Best supporting Actress in series Mad Men of 2007. She also won WFCC Award 2013.
Hendricks got the title of “the sexiest woman in the world” from a 2010 poll of female readers taken by Esquire magazine and she was voted as best looking woman in America in same year.
