The Voot’s original crime, drama, and mystery web series Asur 2 is one of the most anticipated Indian mystery- thriller series expected to be released at the end or at the middle of 2022. The first season of the series was critically as well as commercially successful because of its fantastic direction, storyline, and screenplay. According to several media reports filming of Asur 2 is completed and the trailer will be out anytime soon.
The series was based on a psychopath serial killer whose twisted philosophy was deep-seated in Indian mythology. Nikhil Nair, a former forensic expert, and his former mentor Dhananjay Rajpoot find themselves in a dreadful situation while chasing the serial killer. In the season of Asur, both officers will try to uncover the truth behind the serial killer. Will they be able to find out the real killer and motive behind each killing? Will be interesting to watch.
Arshad Warsi appeared as the lead cast Dhananjay Rajput aka DJ, a forensic officer, who investigates a series of murders in a crime, drama, mystery, and thriller Voot web series titled “Asur: Welcome to Your Dark Side” created by Gaurav Shukla. His performance in the series was magnificent and laudable by the audience as well as critics. In the second season of the series, he will be playing the same role. Other than this, Asur was Arshad Warsi’s debut OTT project.

In 2020, he received an Asian Television Award as the best actor in a supporting role for his work in Asur. It is anticipated that he would appear in the second season of Asur in 2022 playing the same role.
