Whitney was born on 28 January 2003 in Kampala, Uganda to a Ugandan hairdresser and Canadian engineer and pilot. She is the youngest child in the family and the most loved one. She went to a boarding school, she was a very good swimmer and took part in many swimming competitions. She traveled with her father as a child and finally when she was 9, her family decided to relocate themselves and moved to Canada in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia.

After settling in Canada Whitney joined a local public school and also went to Terry Fox Secondary School. During her schooldays, Whitney was fond of fashion and thought she would become a doctor.

Soon after shifting to the U.S., Whitney started filming the series with 13 co-stars in a secluded area of New York. Since she was still a high school girl the production managed her a teacher who would help her graduate.
