Umesh Yadav Wiki Biography: Umesh Kumar Tilak Yadav commonly Known as Umesh Yadav is an Indian Cricketer who plays for Vidarbha Team in Indian Domestic Cricket. He was born in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India but his family belongs to Uttar Pradesh.

Umesh started playing domestic cricket for Vidarbha in 2008. After playing Domestic cricket for 2 years, he got his first break in the Indian cricket team. He was called to the team for the Zimbabwe tour in 2010. One year later he also marked his test debut in 2011 against West Indies.

Umesh is also playing IPL since 2009. He started his IPL career with the Delhi Daredevils team and played with them till 2013. Later he switched to Kolkata Knight Riders in 2014 and was a part of the team up to 2017. Now he plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore Franchise. He joined RCB Squad in 2018.

Career

Umesh Yadav marked his first-class debut in 2008 for the Vidarbha team. He played his first domestic match on 3rd November 2008 against Madhya Pradesh in the 2008-09 Ranji Trophy Tournament. He claimed 4 wickets in his debut match. While playing for the Vidarbha team, Umesh was selected to represent Central Zone Team in Duleep Trophy in the first season.
Then after playing for 2 years in Indian Domestic Cricket.

Umesh got selected for Zimbabwe Tour. He made his ODI debut on 28th May 2010 against Zimbabwe. After one year he was also selected in the Indian Test Team and made his debut in test on 6th November 2011 against West Indies. He made his T20 debut on 7th August 2012 against Sri Lanka.

In his early days of international cricket he was not given much chances and sometimes was dropped from the team. He was selected in the Indian team for Champions Trophy 2013 and played an integral role in India’s Tournament Victory. Later he was dropped from squad for India Vs Australia 2013 ODI series.

Umesh returned to ODI for South Africa tour but couldn’t cement his place due to poor display of cricket. He was not up to the mark in that series. He then was picked for test squad and has given some remarkable performances.

IPL Career

Umesh Yadav made his IPL debut for Delhi Daredevils in 2009 and was part of the team till 2012. Then in 2013 Umesh changed the team when he was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders. He played with KKR till 2017. In the year 2018 Umesh was picked by Royal Challengers Bangalore team in Rs. 4.2 Crores. Umesh is currently the part of Royal Challengers Bangalore team.
