Early Life
On January 30, 2002, Tyla was born and grew up in Edenvale, Gauteng, South Africa, alongside her siblings. She graduated from Edenglen High School and completed higher education at a recognized university.

Subsequently, she signed a recording contract with Epic Records and released her second single, “Overdue” (ft. DJ Lag and Kooldrink), which was also a massive hit.
Her global recognition came in 2023 when her single “Been Thinking” ranked 43rd on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs. The song also earned her nominations for multiple awards. In 2024, Tyla released her self-titled studio album, which was a massive hit and also ranked at the top of multiple music charts.
