On August 22, 2022, a sad incident happened in Dovecot, Liverpool that stunned the whole city. Nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel was deadly shot by a gunman named Thomas Cashman chased his deliberate target into her family’s house. The killing was a pointless act of violence and left the residents reeling.
In the aftermath of the incident, Thomas Cashman was arrested by the police and charged with Olivia’s murder, as well as injuring her mother, Cheryl Korbel.
Last week, Thomas was founded guilty of Olivia’s murder and given a life penalty with a minimum of 42 years in prison. The execution told Thomas’s actions as a “brutal plan” to execute another man, which resulted in the pathetic death of an innocent nine-year-old child.
Additionally to Olivia’s murderer, Thomas was also found guilty of attacking Olivia’s mother Cheryl Korbel, and received a 10-year prison penalty for that crime. He was also found guilty of trying to murder chasing and firing shots at Joseph Nee, a condemned drug dealer, who had looked for shelter in Olivia’s home. For that crime, Thomas received a life sentence with a minimum duration of 22 years.
