Sturgill Simpson is an American singer, songwriter, actor, producer, and media celebrity. He is popular for his 2016’s Grammy Award-winning album “A Sailor’s Guide to Earth” and top-ranking albums ‘Sound & Fury” and “Cuttin’ Grass, Vol. 1: The Butcher Shoppe Sessions”.
Sturgill grew up in Jackson, Kentucky along with his parents and relatives. He went to Woodford County High School and completed graduation. After graduation, he joined the US Navy and worked in the Combat Information Center in Japan. Sturgill began his musical journey in 2004 after forming a band named “Sunday Valley” along with his friends.
