Ankit Chouhan, professionally known as Skrrt, is an American record producer and audio engineer. Ankit Chouhan is Indian, raised in the small village Kunsal, Baijnath, city Kangra in Himachal Pradesh. He has been musically inclined since his childhood. At age 10, he learned how to play the piano, saxophone, clarinet, and percussion.
While in school he began creating remixes of popular songs and producing beats using FL 11 and complete Control s61 and use Avid ProTools for song mixing mastering. He searched some collective name’s and this is where he received the name, Skrrt. In 2014, Skrrt left Himachal Pradesh State and decided to pursue music professionally.
Skrrt with his use of ambient melodies, intricate drum patterns, and heavy bass lines, Skrrt’s has described his production style as Trap R&BHe produced Blackpink’s “Kill this love” and “In My Head” by Ariana Grande from the 7 Rings album. Skrrt has worked with the artist and producers Becky G, BTS, Nicky Jam, Daddy Yankee, Ozuna, Cardi B, Maluma, Hitmaka, Cardiak, Og Parker & Tainy.
On May 31, 2014, his production for Ariana Grande’s song Problem and peaked at number 24 n the Billboard Hot 100 and went MTV Video Music Award for Best Pop Video. He also received a certified Gold plaque for producing and mixing Ozuna’s Taki Taki and 12x plaque for Boy with Luv by BTS.
