Siddharth began playing cricket in his early teenage when he was on high school. His family was one of his motivations for his career in cricket. His father name is Tej Kaul and his mother name is Sandhya Kaul. Besides this he also has one brother name Uday Kaul. He was born and raised in the Brahmin family. He began playing cricket as a domestic cricketer from Punjab.
Siddharth was one of the leading wicket-takers in the Vijay Hazare match taking 12 wickets in the 5 matches. Later on, he has got a chance to make appearances in the Under-19 cup from India which was a host in Malaysia at that time he was one of the first players to name in the IPL 2008. In the beginning, he was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders and later on he leave Kolkata knight raiders and joined to Sunrisers Hyderabad.
