Shriya Sharan is one of the popular stars and top actress of the South Film Industry. She is quite popular not only in the South but also in Bollywood. Shriya came to Bollywood with the film ‘Tujhe Meri Kasam’ released in 2003.
While the film flopped, later on, Shriya also did many hit films which made her a mark in Bollywood.
Today is Shriya’s 36th birthday. Shriya was born on 11 September 1982 in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. Her life was spent in a small settlement between Shivalik mountain ranges.
Shriya’s father Pushpendra Saran Bhatnagar who was having job in Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited. His mother Neerja Saran Bhatnagar, who was a teacher of chemistry in Delhi Public School.
Due to Shreyas father and mother’s job in Delhi, she did her schooling in Delhi. She completed her studies from Delhi Public School and took a B.A degree in Art from Lady Shri Ram College.
Shriya learnt Dance from her mother as her mother knew many types of dance. From her mother, Shriya took training in Kathak, Rajasthani and Nritya dances. Shriya used to participate in a dance competition in her school and college.
She was a very good dancer. When Shriya was in her second year of college, a new twist came in her life when she got the first chance to dance in the Hindi song “Thrikti Kyu Hawa” by Renu Nathan. It was the first time that Shriya came in front of the camera.
Shreya Became famous after dancing in the video ‘Thirkati Kyon Hawa’. After that, she was selected for a film Ishtam in 2001 which was a Tamil movie. After this movie shriya became popular for her acting and got 4 more movies to work.
Shriya’s film “Santosham” was released in Telugu in 2002, which was the first superhit film. After this film, Shriya was loved by the people.
Being a superhit in Tollywood, Shriya now wanted to come into Bollywood and Shriya’s dream was fulfilled in the year 2003 by working in the Bollywood film Mujhe Teri Kasam, although the film flopped.
Tollywood movie ” Shivaji the Boss’ in which Shriya and Rajinikanth played the lead role. The film became a super hit and people still like this film.
After being a hit in this film, Shriya once again got a chance to work in the Bollywood film “Awarapan”, but this film also flopped.
After several failures in Bollywood, Shriya is seen again in the year 2015 playing the wife of Ajay Devgan in the movie Drishyam . This film became a hit, though Shriya was very much liked in this film.
Shriya married tennis player and businessman Antre koshib in Russia on 12 March 2018 without informing anyone.
