According to some fresher sources, the successful filmmaker Karan Johar will introduce a new face in Bollywood, Shanaya Kapoor, to the OTT sector in his upcoming franchise of Student of the Year 3. The online series will be available on Disney+ and Hotstar. The production of the film is already underway.
Shanaya Kapoor is all set to make her acting career hike the stairs of fame. The name Shanaya Kapoor is well familiar in the industry. She is the daughter of Bollywood actor and film producer Sanjay Kapoor. Shanaya has already made her directorial debut with the success of Gunjan Saxena.
As per the report in Pinkvilla, Karan Johar has utter teaming up with Disney+Hotstar to transform the Student of the Year movie franchise into a web series. Following his qualities of introducing new talents in the industry with his successful franchise, just like he did in 2012, by featuring newcomers like Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles in the first franchise of Student of the Year.
The Student of the Year 1 managed to collect about US$1.25 million at the Box Office in India and $3 million from the overseas markets, which resulted in a good response to his decision to add newcomers to the industry. Although Shanaya is all set to make her OTT acting debut with Mohanlal’s new coming Pan-India film Vrushabha which is set to be released in 2024.
