Sanju Samson Wiki Biography: Sanju Viswanath Samson commonly known as Sanju Samson is an Indian Cricketer. He was born in Trivandrum, Kerala, India.

Sanju is one of the best young cricketers. He plays for the Kerala team in Indian Domestic Cricket. He has also represented Under-19 Indian Team and was the vice-captain of the team. Sanju has also Scored the fastest double century in List A cricket in a Vijay Hazare Trophy match between Kerala and Goa.

Career

Sanju Samson plays in Indian Domestic Cricket for his State team Kerala. He made his first-class debut for Kerala on 3rd November 2011. In the Ranji Trophy 2015-16, he was also appointed as the captain of the Kerala Ranji team. He was the youngest captain in the Ranji Trophy. In Ranji Trophy 2017-18, Sanju was the leading run-scorer of the season. He scored 627 runs in 7 Matches. In 2014, Sanju was selected in the Squad for England in India’s National Team. However, he was not given any chance and didn’t play any match on the tour.

Then in the year 2015, Sanju got his first break and made his debut against Zimbabwe. In October 2019, Sanju made the fastest double century in a Vijay Hazare match against Goa. He made 212 of 129 balls. Sanju was also selected in the National Team for a series against Bangladesh in October 2019.

Sanju Samson was first signed by Kolkata Knight Riders team in 2012 but wasn’t given any chance in playing 11 that season. Then in the 2013 IPL season, Sanju was bought by the Rajasthan Royals team. He made his IPL debut on 13th April 2013. Then in the second match, Sanju made his maiden half-century in IPL.

He scored 63 of 41 balls and became the youngest player to score a half-century in IPL. That season in 2013 he won the Best Young Player Award. Rajasthan Royals retained Sanju for the 2014 IPL season and played few crucial innings for his team.

Then in IPL 2015, Sanju didn’t score many runs. He could only manage a one 50+ score that season. Sanju was bought by Delhi Daredevils for the 2016 IPL season for 4.2 Crores. Sanju was retained by Delhi Daredevils for the 2017 IPL season and scored a maiden IPL Century that season against Rising Pune Supergiants.

Then in 2018, he was again bought by Rajasthan Royals and played some crucial knocks. He was retained by Rajasthan Royals for the 2019 IPL season and then he scored his second IPL century against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He is also the youngest batsman to score 2000 runs in IPL. He achieved this feat in 2019.
