On October 24, 1997, Raye was born and grew up in Tooting, London, alongside her family. She attended Woodcote High School, where she found her passion for singing. Upon graduating from high school, Raye was enrolled at BRIT School; however, she dropped out midway and chose to pursue a career in singing.
