Phaedra was born on 26 October 1973 in Athens, Georgia, the United States to a well-established middle-class family. She grew up with her family and friends in Athens and went to a local high school. She attended Wesleyan College and obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and later finished her Juris Doctor’s Degree from the University of Georgia’s School of Law.
