Paul Wesley is an American actor and filmmaker who is worldwide recognized for his award-winning performances in a few movies and TV shows such as The Vampire Diaries (2010), Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2022), and History of Evil (2024).

He is also known for directing and producing several award-winning TV shows, such as Batwoman (2020), Legacies (2019), Shadowhunters (2017), and others. 

Born on July 23, 1982, Paul grew up in New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA, alongside his siblings. He attended Marlboro High School, where he first found his passion for acting, and enrolled at Lakewood Prep School, where he studied theater as well as drama. Subsequently, Wesley attended Rutgers University for higher studies but soon left his studies at the midway to pursue a career in acting.
