Early life

Noubar Afeyan was born on July 25, 1962, in Beirut, Lebanon in an Armenian family. He has been completed his graduation from McGill University and has completed his PhD in Biochemical Engineering in 1987. He started giving lectures on various topics like- innovation, entrepreneurship and technology. He is also an active member of the corporation of MIT (the Institute’s governing body).

Noubar’s company Moderna becomes one of the biggest IPO in the field of science and biotech technology skills. He also has a small partnership with the brand company of Omega, where he plays the role of a chairman.

Noubar Afeyan started his career as an investor, entrepreneur and Lecturer. In 2012, he received an award for a Technology Pioneer from the World Economic Forum (WEF). Again in 2006, Noubar received Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity, in the year 2016 he received Marguerite Barankitse award. Noubar is known for Moderna, which is his co-founding the biotechnology company.

Afeyan also plays a great role in discussing all political issues including COVID-19 pandemic, he has also patented over 100 of inventions. He has also invested in several known companies and has over 2 million shares in the company. Noubar Afeyan is an Armenian and was born on 1962 in Beirut, Lebanon. He gained his B.Eng. in chemical engineering in 1983, Noubar was one of the first PhD graduate from MIT University.

Afeyan married a Swedish-born engineer name Anna Gunnarson and at present, they have four children. Noubar became a permanent citizen of USA in 2008 and soon after some years moved to the USA along with his family.

Moderna is a company founded by David Berry, Noubar Afeyan, Kenneth R. Chien, Robert Langer and Derrick Rossi. The company deals with biotechnology, it also arrive its attention on discovery of drugs its ill effects and vaccine technologies.

Moderna was founded in September 2010 and its headquarters is in Massachusetts, United States. As per the year 2018, it became one of the biggest biotech company, Moderna also works on the way for COVID-19 vaccine and it is hoped that it could be successful in its mission.
