Nitish  Rana is an Indian cricketer who was born on 27 December 1996 in Bijwasan, Delhi, India. He was completely being supported by his parents to play cricket, when he was eight years old his father brought a bat for him and wished him to score centuries through that bat. After some years he started playing in domestic cricket and showed his talent for cricket.

In 2015-16 he made his first-class debut playing for Ranji Trophy and scored around 557 runs, proving his ability in playing cricket. In the same year, Nitish played for Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and also he scored around 299 runs in 8 innings. In the year 2014-17 he was named as a member of Mumbai Indians squad, and year after in 2018 he was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction.
