Ninotchka “Nina” Garcia is an American-Colombian fashion journalist, a judge of Project Runway since its first season on “Bravo/Lifetime” reality television program, and the editor-in-chief of Elle a worldwide women’s lifestyle magazine. She is also known for her notable credits as Market Editor for Mirabella, Fashion Director for Elle and Marie Claire, and also in the Public Relations department for Perry Ellis

She was born on 3 May 1965 in Barranquilla, Colombia to a family of wealthy importers, she grew up in Colombia and later moved to the US with her parents. She has completed her schooling at Dana Hall School in Wellesley, Massachusetts, and completed her graduation from Boston University with Bachelor’s Degree. Nina has also attended a French private school of fashion ESMOD in Paris and holds a bachelor’s degree in “Fashion Merchandising” from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 1992 from New York.
