In March 2021, Molly was criticized for conducting an £8,000 online reward draw on Instagram that failed to follow the advertisement rules for such contests. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) judged she had been unable to deliver proof that the winners had been randomly and fairly chosen.
On 13 December 2021, Molly was also featured as a guest on Steven Bartlett’s The Diary of a CEO podcast which was uploaded on YouTube. In the interview, she made comments on poverty and wealth inequality, which were the main basis of controversy, being accused of being “tone deaf” and dubbed “Thatcherite” comments.
