Marco Espejo is a Peruvian-born and Spain-based dancer, choreographer, Instagram star, and social media celebrity. He is famous as a winner of two national Spanish Bachata National Championships with his partner Sara Panero. He is also famous for winning the World Bachatart Fusion in 2014.

Marco was born and raised in Trujillo, Peru. Being fond of dancing from an early age, he decided to make a career in the same field at the age of 8 and joined a local dancing academy. He is a trained dancer in Salsa, Bachata, and other Latin dance forms. At the age of 18, he moved to Huelva, Spain, and started to take lessons in Latin rhythms.

Initial Career

For greater opportunities in dancing, Marco moved to Spain at the age of 18 and began training for Latin rhythms. By the age of 21, he was an expert of Salsa, Bachata, and other dance forms and moved to Madrid, Spain.

At the same time, Marco met a popular dancer Elisa Toimil and partnered with her. Together, they competed in numerous local and national dancing competitions and won many of them.

Popularity as a Dancer

With rising initial recognition as a dancer, in 2012 Marco patterned with Sara Panero, a Bachata dancer and in the same year, they garnered national popularity after winning two National Bachata Competitions of Spain.

At the same time, they created their own professional dancing company named “Esencia”. In the following year, Marco and Sara won four National Bachata Competitions because of their magnificent performance. In 2014, they separated and started performing solo.

In 2014 Marco partnered with an Italian dancer Marzia Licciardello and won the World Bachatart Fusion and acclaimed international fame as a dancer and choreographer. In 2016, Marco and Sara reunited and began performing together internationally.

On 27 March 2014, Marco and Sara launched their channel and uploaded a debut video titled “JR – Otro Te Besa / Marco Espejo & Sara Panero bachata 2017” on 4 March 2016. They usually post dancing and choreography videos on the channel.

The most popular video on the channel is titled “Romeo Santos – Centavito / workshop bachata sensual 2017 / Marco y Sara Transilvania salsa fest”, which has several million views as of now.
