Looking at his awesome performance in the domestic cricket it has attracted the eyes of many franchises. In the 2010 IPL he was bought by Kolkata knight raiders. During that time he was unable to make a better performance in the first three matches.
So, later on next year he moved to Kings XI Punjab in 2012 IPL and the story was not so much different. Mandeep made his breakthrough in 2012 scoring one of the highest run from kings XI Punjab. During that time he has also won the rising star tournament award in the 2012 IPL.
