On October 27, 1997, Lonzo was born and grew up in Anaheim, California, USA, in the family of a former basketball player and his siblings. He graduated from Chino Hills School and obtained his higher education from the University of California, Los Angeles. Growing up, Ball found his passion for basketball, and he played alongside his siblings and received training from his father.
Lonzo began playing basketball at a young age, alongside his siblings and father and went on to play in local leagues and tournaments. During his time at Chino Hills High School, he set a record of 35-0, leading his team, and also won a state title.
