Early Life
On December 5, 1984, Lauren was born and grew up in Los Angeles, California, in a well-to-do family. Growing up, she found her passion for modeling as well as acting and regularly performed at school plays while studying at Palisades Charter High School. After graduating from high school, she decided to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, auditioning for movies as well as TV shows.

Career
Lauren commenced her early career as a model by appearing in the 2003 music video “Stand Up,” which was a massive hit and received millions of views. Subsequently, she appeared in two more music videos, “Frontin'” and Snoop Dogg’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” which were also massive hits.
In 2006, she made her acting debut as Monay, a supporting character in the comedy-drama show “Everybody Hates Chris.” Later that year, Lauren received early fame for portraying the important role of New New in Chris Robinson’s comedy-drama movie “ATL,” which received positive reviews from both the audience and critics.
