Laufey LÃn Bing Jónsdóttir is an Icelandic singer, songwriter, and producer who is best known for globally acclaimed studio albums, EPs, and singles including Everything I Know About Love, Bewitched, Typical of Me, Christmas with You, and Love Flew Away. She is also known for winning the 2024 Grammy Awards for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, “Bewitched,” and the Icelandic Music Awards.
Early Life
On April 23, 1999, Laufey grew up in ReykjavÃk, Iceland, in an affluent family alongside her siblings. Growing up, she found her passion for music and learned to play the piano while studying at a local high school. After graduating from high school, Laufey studied at ReykjavÃk College of Music before obtaining a bachelor’s degree from Berklee College of Music.
