KiKi started her career from a drama series, “The Chi” which was produced by Lena Waithe and was filmed in 2015. She made her breakthrough with a role in Barry Jenkin’s drama If Beale Street Could Talk in 2018 and starred in Native Son, a screen adaptation of Richard Wright’s from a 1940 novel. 

Later she was seen in The Old Guard along with Charlize Theron, which was directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood. In 2021, she was starred alongside Eddie Murphy in the Amazon Prime sequel Coming 2 America.KiKi has also modeled for the American luxury fashion brand Kate Spade New York.
