Kajor, the versatile Bollywood actress, made her web series debut in July 2023 with the Disney+ Hotster courtroom drama show “The Trial,” featuring Jisshu Sengupta, Kubbra Sait, and Alyy Khan. The show is an official Hindi adaptation of the critically acclaimed American drama show “The Good Wife.”
She received praise from both audiences and critics for playing the magnificent role of Noyonika Sengupta, a lawyer and housewife. Furthermore, the show also received global acclaim for its engaging storyline and excellent cinematography.
Talking about the show, Kajor said to Variety, “The complexities are what define a character to me, and the layers surrounding Noyonika are what spoke to me when this role first came over. Noyonika felt personal; I instantly felt protective about her, and that reaffirmed my faith in choosing The Trial on Disney+ Hotstar to be my first step into the long format.”
The show has also been all over the news for not only its fantastic cast and storyline but also for Kajol’s bold kissing scene. It is said that she broke her 29-year-old “no kissing policy” for the show, which is shocking to her fans. As per rumors, Kajol has two kissing scenes with her co-stars, Jisshu Sengupta (her husband) and Alyy Khan (her ex-boyfriend), in two different episodes.
