After the FBI tweet and the revelation that he was allegedly involved, Johnston’s friends and colleagues from Mr. Show with Bob and David attempted to contact Johnston, but they did not respond.
Shortly after being recognized, Johnston was terminated from his position at Bob’s Burgers. Johnston was taken into custody by the FBI on June 7, 2023, and he was charged with many minor counts in addition to the felony offense of obstructing authorities during a civil disturbance.
