Harsh began his acting career in 2005 when he was just 8 years old. His parents were not wealthy enough to afford the fee for his acting classes. It was Harsh’s uncle Sunil Kumar who helped him to join Shri Ram Center in Delhi.
Later he did 180 auditions for singing, dancing, and acting. He was selected for the Bollywood film Chillar Party, but unfortunately, Harsh was not able to match the role because he broke his hand and decided to not work in the film.
Soon after Harsh recovered he received a call for an audition. It was his parents who convinced him to give audition and was selected for the film “I Am Kalam”. The film was shot in 2009 in Rajasthan. Harsh worked with debuting director Nila Madhab Panda and actors like Gulshan Grover and Pitobash Tripathy.
The film was released on 5 august 2011. He won the ’58th National Film Award’ for best child artist. He also won several national awards for his performance. Harsh then worked in several films like Jalpari: The Desert Mermaid, Chaarfutiya Chhokare, Desires Of The Heart (an English Film), Garam Post Bharat, Untitled: The Words Left Unsaid (a short film), Hichki, and Kanpuriye.
Besides movies, Harsh worked in a Sony LIV web series “Gullak” where he played the role of Aman Mishra. The audience loved him for his performance in the show. He worked alongside Vaibhav Raj Gupta, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Jameel Khan, Sunita Rajwar, and many more. The 1st season of the show was released on 13 July 2019, the second on 12 January 2021, and the third was released on 1 April 2022. The 4th season is likely to be released in 2023.
