In 1995, he operated as an audio engineer for 3rd Eye Studios. Ghazi’s music label has produced music for popular artists XXXTentacion,  Hayley Kiyoko, Benny the Butcher, 50 Cent, Nef the Pharaoh, Kendrick Lamar, Rapper Big Pooh, Keak Da Sneak,  Kendrick Lamar, and also many others.

In 2000, he operated as an innovative media manager for Audiohighway.com. Ghazi has jump-begun careers for Kendrick Lamar, Cardi B, Migos, and Anderson.Paak. In 2010, Ghazi formed Empire Distribution.

In February 2021, Ghazi Shami opened up a US division in the U.S. concentrating on marketing in North Africa, African Diaspora, and West Asia.

In 2022, Ghazi Shami collaborate with Claude VonStroke to develop Empire’s business into dance culture. Claude VonStroke is the CEO and creator of the independent electronic music label Dirtybird Records. Claude also releases music through his permitted name, Barclay Crenshaw. Dirtybird was developed by Empire in 2022. In 2022, Ghazi began his Empire in Africa.
