Davis has seen many hardships through her struggling times. Geena has worked as a waitress and sales clerk and took up work for Ann Taylor and worked as a window mannequin and received a modelling contract with Zoli Modeling Agency. In 1982 her acting career started yet slowly. She came up with her debut movie ‘Tootsie’ where she got to play a small role in the film. In the same year, she appeared in the television comedy ‘Buffalo Bill. 

She got a very big break after she was seen in the famous sitcom ‘Family Ties’ where she co-starred with Michael J. Fox. the series lasted from 1982 to 1989. Her various more films and series areas A League of Their Own’ in 1992, Cutthroat Island in 1995, The Lion Kiss Goodnight in 1996, The Geena Davis Show. In 1999 she was also seen in the animated movie  Stuart Little. Geena Davis has given her the best role as 1st female President of the US in the popular TV series ‘Commander in Chief’ from 2005 to 2006, for this she got nominated for many awards.
