On November 13, 2002, Emma was born in Toronto, Ontario, and grew up in Bromley, England, in an affluent family. She studied at Bickley Primary School and moved to Newstead Wood School. At a young age, Emma discovered her passion for tennis while studying at primary school and went on to participate in several school tournaments.
