In 2019, he played for a team called the Dominican Summer League Reds and did really well, hitting the ball with an average of .285 in 43 games. In 2021, De La Cruz played for two teams: the Arizona Complex League Reds and the Daytona Tortugas, which is a Single-A team. He played a total of 61 games and had a good average of .296. He hit 8 home runs, got 42 RBI (runs batted in), and stole 10 bases.
In 2022, he played for two more teams: the Dayton Dragons and the Chattanooga Lookouts. He had a fantastic season, hitting the ball with an average of .304.
