Bryce College Career
After finishing his graduation from Cathedral High School, Bryce initially joined the University of Alabama and commenced playing Football in the University team as a quarterback.
In the course of his early year at Alabama, Bryce played as the backup to junior Mac Jones in his first debut season of 2020. Young made his collegiate debut against Missouri Tigers which was held in Faurot Field, US, and marked 5 of 8 for 54 passing yards with two rushing yards on 4 shots.
Subsequently, on November 2020, Young raised his 1st collegiate touchdown against Kentucky and guided his team toward victory.
In his debut season, he played altogether nine games and finished the season with 156 passing yards and 1 touchdown.
In his second fresher season, he debut against Miami Hurricanes and recorded 344 yards passing with four touchdowns.
In a match against Arkansas Razorbacks, Bryce recorded a threw pass in 559 yards and broke the Alabama school record for the longest pass ever.
With his outstanding performance in his second season, Young emerged as the winner of the Heisman Trophy and become the first Alabama quarterback to win the award.
In addition to the Heisman Trophy, Young won AP Player of the Year, the Davey O’Brien Award. Apart from the Heisman trophy Bryce has also bagged a few prestigious awards like the Manning Award, the Maxwell Award, SEC Offensive Player of the Year, and Consensus All-American Player of the Season.
