On January 1, 1984, Amara was born in London, England, in a Sri Lankan Tamil family and grew up alongside her siblings. She graduated from Wimbledon High School and obtained a master’s degree in acting from The Arts Educational Schools London. Growing up, she found her passion for acting and eventually decided to pursue a career in the same.
